Jon Leger has been consistently raising the bar with The Best Spinner since it came out more than a year and a half ago to make it the most feature packed and easy-to-use article spinner on the market.
Now he’s rewritten much of the Best Spinner code to make the upcoming Best Spinner 3.0 even better than before.
I had a chance to upgrade my copy of The Best Spinner to the new version and test it a bit, so me introduce you to some of the brand spanking new features.
New Best Spinner User Interface
The first thing you will notice about the new Best Spinner 3.0 is the completely redesigned user interface. TBS 2.0 was never known for its good looking UI, but TBS 3.0 changes this. It now sports the stylish Microsoft Office ribbon interface with tabs grouping the major functions, and large, friendly icons for each action.
If you have a favorite set of actions use all the time, you can also easily add them to the Quick Access Toolbar which sits in the titlebar of the app. This can be quite handy, and save you a couple of clicks.
Not only is the new Best Spinner interface better looking, but it makes the software much easier to use.
Better Manual Spinning
There are some nice usability improvements when manually spinning your articles now.
One thing I like is the built in support for html tags when you type. So if you’re doing something common like adding links to your articles, you’ll notice that it will autocomplete the html tags for you. It’s small things like this, that make The Best Spinner 3.0 a pleasure to use.
If you like spin at the sentence and paragraph level, you’ll also notice that The Best Spinner has improved the interface for doing this as well.
On the bottom pane, you can switch between Word, Sentence and Paragraph spinning modes very easily. If you’re in sentence mode for example, then when you press tab it will highlight the next sentence. Switch over to paragraph mode and pressing tab will highlight each paragraph.
If you’re not the best speller, there’s also a built-in real-time spell checker function too.
Managing Your Spun Articles
The Best Spinner 3.0 has some nice features for handling multiple articles. First of all, you can open articles in multiple tabs. You can then use operations like Replace Everyone’s Favorites across all open articles if you choose.
TBS 3.0 also includes Project management features to better organize your articles how you want them. You can even group articles together into subfolders if you like, and invoke your favorite operations on a project level as well.
New Compare Tool
A cool new addition to The Best Spinner 3.0 is the Compare Tool. This is basically a free Copyscape alternative that lets you compare two articles together for uniqueness.
When you launch it, you get a side by side comparison of the two articles, and the software will highlight the specific areas in the article that are duplicates.
For an even more in-depth look at how unique your spun articles are, you can use the Generate and Compare feature. This lets you generate X number of articles from your spinnable article and compares each variation with each other in an easy to read table. This gives you a better idea of really how unique your spinnable articles really are.
Other Best Spinner 3.0 Features
There are a couple of other new The Best Spinner 3.0 features worth mentioning.
The Protected Terms functionality has been enhanced quite a bit. If you’re not familiar with Protected Terms, these are the keywords you don’t want replaced by any of The Best Spinner’s replace functions.
Now in the software, all the protected terms are now shown in bold, so you can easily identify them. You can also now categorize your protected terms. This makes sense, since different article topics will have different keywords you want to protect against. Now you can create unlimited categories and toggle between them.
Another little, but important improvement is that the Word Count and Uniqueness values are now quite a bit more accurate. In the older versions of The Best Spinner, uniqueness used to be calculated by taking the % of text that was in spin brackets.
Now, the values are calculated by generating a large number of variations from your spun article, and calculating the average word count and uniqueness by comparing to each variation. This makes for better, more accurate values.
Final Thoughts
All in all, The Best Spinner 3.0 looks to be an amazing new release. There are quite a few article spinners on the market these days, but none focus as much on usability as The Best Spinner does. Article spinning can be quite a time consuming task, so any improvements to the process are always welcome.
If you are already a The Best Spinner customer make sure to update to the new version once all the bugs are ironed out. I think you will really be impressed with it.
